Position purpose

Under general direction of assembly supervision, operators use assembly machinery and related equipment in the production of quality parts.  

Job Requirements

• Follow all company safety rules and guidelines
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• 100% adherence to processes of assembling parts to ensure they meet customer specifications as described in the build book
• Attention to detail is a must
• Must work in a team environment, and show ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner with team members
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining proper quality specifications
• Ability to build at rate
• Ability to safely operate hand tools (sanding sticks, shell blaster, glue guns, pneumatic drivers, drills, etc.)
• Ability to work with common cleaning solvents (denatured alcohol) and adhesives
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
• Pursue ongoing goal of cost reductions
• Responsible for assuring the conformity of product to customer requirements
   
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Requires ability to push/pull at approximately shoulder height  
• Maximum lifting requirement is approximately 50 lbs, infrequently
• Break times are scheduled and enforced 

Skill, training, or educational requirements

This is an entry-level manufacturing position requiring a good work ethic and the ability to speak and understand English sufficiently to receive training, interact with coworkers and team leaders, and read and complete paperwork. Through in-house training, advancement is possible.
