Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Assembly Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Our Job Qualifications include:
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent trade or military background.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Excellent hands-on mechanical & electrical diagnostic skills combined with a developed analytical thought process.
- Be capable of reading work orders and understanding technical documents
- Working knowledge of PC and network systems.
- Willingness to attend training courses and seminars.
- Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills.
- Self-motivated, outgoing, reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or emergency callouts as needed.
- Valid driver's license with excellent driving record.
Job Duties include:
- Performing all aspects of the assembly area, Electrical and Mechanical Assembly, and Soldering of components.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Have the ability & desire to become efficient with mechanical equipment and learn all aspects of the job as required.
- Maintain company equipment/work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Operate all proper tooling and other equipment as specified to fulfill basic job requirements.
- Support and assist the Field Service Team and fill in where required.
