Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Assembly Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Three years of public service is strongly preferred, e.g., case management, community organizing, or nonprofit work experience. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent attention to details. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite, Goggle doc, etc. Available to work evening and weekend hours on occasion.
Constituent casework is one of the essential functions of the Assemblymember's office. While a day in the life will vary, some of the primary responsibilities include: resolving and managing constituent issues and responding to casework correspondence. Interacting with government agencies, organizations and members of the community. Data entry, maintaining files on issues, assisting with office and community events and a strong commitment to community and the State of NY.
Position can be full time or part-time. The Assembly does not have a grade system, salary is based on experience.
