Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Assembly Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Assembly Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Under the direction of the Head of NA Operations, this position is responsible for training and assembly of Pfisterer products. The position will work together with Operations to schedule and coordinate all training and assembly functions. In addition, the position has the following duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for all training and assembly of Pfisterer products in NAM including but not limited to Connex, Sicon, EHV cable accessories, PLUG, etc.
2. Completing all necessary paperwork for each project completed with timely remission to inside sales for processing and customer billing
3. Act as the NAM technical support for operations directly as well as inside and outside sales regarding Pfisterer products
4. Manage tool inventory for use in assembly process
5. Train new hires and employees on advanced assemblies
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Must have a minimum 5 years of experience with MV and HV cable construction and prep.
2. Minimum of 5 years prior experience installing cable accessories, preferred
3. Prior experience with Pfisterer products is preferred
4. Thorough knowledge of the industry and product line
5. Prior training experience and a full understanding of installation procedures is necessary
6. Presentation skills, and customer service are keys
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
2. Standing, bending, lifting and sitting throughout the day
