Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance manages academic counseling unit for a university/college's athletic program. Ensures compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations regarding academics. Being an Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance advises athletes on academic decisions including course loads and schedules, major declarations, and degree progress. Serves as a representative between the athletic program and prospective student athletes regarding academics. Additionally, Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a institutional officer. The Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. - Provides HVAC/R Program direction, curriculum development, facility and resource oversight, community outreach, and overall program development. Responsible for program growth, student and faculty recruitment, and professional development of faculty assigned to the program.
- Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area. Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing.
- Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules. Uses learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty and staff.
- Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes. Assists the Department Chair/Dean with timely notification of any shortfall in supplies or equipment needed for lab Instruction.
- Conducts lectures, discussions and other teaching activities. Relates instruction and material to course objectives. Provides students with course syllabi and correlates grade assignment with skill and course competency. Submits grades, reports and records in a timely manner. Remains current in field.
- Must have a broad knowledge of the HVAC/R industry with specific knowledge in the areas of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Needs to have a minimum of an associate degree in HVAC/R or a related field and three (3) years of direct practical experience working independently in the HVAC/R field.
