Liberty Christian Preparatory School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Athletic Director. As the Athletic Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our 3-year-old through high school athletic programs and ensuring the success and growth of our student-athletes. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a passion for education and sports. As a leader in Liberty Church's ministry, the Athletic Director is expected to make Liberty Church Tavares their home church.
Duties:
- Develop and implement athletic policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Coordinate and schedule athletic events, practices, and competitions
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate coaching staff
- Collaborate with coaches to develop training programs and strategies
- Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and ensure compliance with eligibility requirements
- Manage budgets and allocate resources for athletic programs
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development among student-athletes
- Coordinate transportation, equipment, facilities, and other logistical needs for athletic events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting
- Experience in athletic management is preferred
- Strong knowledge of athletic rules, regulations, and safety protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to motivate and inspire coaches and student-athletes
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
