Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance manages academic counseling unit for a university/college's athletic program. Ensures compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations regarding academics. Being an Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance advises athletes on academic decisions including course loads and schedules, major declarations, and degree progress. Serves as a representative between the athletic program and prospective student athletes regarding academics. Additionally, Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a institutional officer. The Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Requirements

    • At least three years of experience in a childcare organization or related experience
    • Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Background working with state and local agencies pertaining to childcare
    • Must pass state-required criminal background check

    Responsibilities

    • Support the School Director in interviewing, hiring and terminating employees
    • Provide supervisory assistance when needed or in the absence of the School Director
    • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly documents regarding compliance and corporate reporting
    • Assist in the management of the P&L reports as well as accounts receivables and payables
    • Implement curriculum along with activities, special events and field trips to enhance learning and development of children
    • Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with parents and children
    • Follow and maintain state requirements regarding training for all staff, annually and upon hire
    • Meet and maintain compliance with all state licensing and training requirements
    • Prioritize and coordinate staff work assignments as needed
    • Maintain flexibility regarding the business demands of the school, including working in classroom and other areas of the school when needed
