The general purpose of the Academic Marketing Director is to develop and implement marketing outreach that attracts enrollment prospects and fills the pipelines of prospective students considering New College’s traditional and online degree programs.
Assists Director of Communications and the Admissions operations team in the coordination of digital communications.
Facilitate digital ad placement and a high volume of email and SMS messages with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Prioritize regular usability testing, analytics and troubleshooting of Enrollment Management digital assets and produce benchmarked reports on success/failure, recommended actions, and funnel optimization.
Utilize knowledge of browser compatibility, responsive design and CAN-SPAM/anti-spam laws.
Help in ensuring user data is correctly managed and protected throughout the email delivery process.
Communicate quickly, effectively and professionally with internal and external partners to ensure digital campaigns are relevant and timed appropriately for various target audiences.
Assist with layout of forms, portals, landing pages and other digital areas in enrollment CRM platform.
Stay up to date on the latest trends and tools to meet the needs of prospective college students and their parents/guardians.
Other duties as assigned.
A minimum of an associate degree (bachelor's preferred) in Communications, Marketing, or related field. Prior work experienced preferably in academic marketing, can be used as a substitute for a four-year degree. Prior documented work experience with digital display, email and SMS advertising is required.
Three years of full-time or equivalent experience with digital display, email and SMS marketing. Knowledge and practical application of A/B testing. Ability to work across multiple departments and engage with several stakeholders while developing and implementing multiple campaigns. Prior experience marketing an online-based or distance-learning degree program.
