    The Assistant Director for Academic Support will manage and direct multiple programs and initiatives to support students’ academic achievement and persistence. This position provides leadership and focused coordination to support evidence-based learning and related strategies to aid students’ progression. In addition, this position will be responsible for the supervision of identified academic support personnel.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Master’s degree in Student Services, Educational Psychology, Education or a related field required with a minimum of 3 years experience in higher education, academic support, learning science or related field. Assessment and reporting experience. A successful background check is required.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Previous experience with supervising and training employees, prior experience with evaluative programming, prior experience with adult learning.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    Ability to possess a thorough knowledge of University Policy and Procedures. Excellent verbal and written skills are required as are the abilities to perform detailed work, deal with interruptions, handle multiple concurrent tasks, and maintain a high level of confidentiality with special regard to student records and information. Information technology proficiency in database and spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office products. Ability to work and motivate traditional as well as nontraditional students.
