Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance manages academic counseling unit for a university/college's athletic program. Ensures compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations regarding academics. Being an Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance advises athletes on academic decisions including course loads and schedules, major declarations, and degree progress. Serves as a representative between the athletic program and prospective student athletes regarding academics. Additionally, Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a institutional officer. The Assistant Athletic Director - Academic Compliance manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the School Principal or designee, the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director (Athletic Director) directs and manages the overall program of extracurricular and intramural athletics for the District. The Athletic Director provides each student with the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity and ensures compliance with all federal, state, Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA), and local requirements. The Athletic Director also directs and manages assigned areas of instructional program and building operations.
