The Assistant AD of Strategic Communications will manage and continuously assess the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit including software, hardware, and personnel workflow for athletics communications to ensure efficiency, quality information, and consistent brand messaging. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures. Oversees the budget and direction of full-time, part-time, and intern staffing.

Creative
The Assistant AD of Strategic Communications will handle the day-to-day responsibilities of publication of creative content on social media platforms. Will shoot and edit photos and video as needed to promote strategic storytelling through new media strategies.

The Assistant AD for Strategic Communications will act as a liaison and work alongside broadcast operations, including ESPN broadcasts and online streaming of all home competitions. The position provides background and context for the broadcast work unit.

This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and four years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 8 years of direct experience.

The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and ASUN Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations. The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.

This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA’s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session.
