Qualifications: Master's Degree, Principal Certification; 5 years of teaching experience; educational leadership experience preferred; NIAAA certification preferred
Additional Information: This High School Assistant Principal/Assistant Athletic Director will serve as an instructional leader of an identified learning community through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The high school assistant principal/assistant athletic director will be responsible for assisting with developing and fostering a school culture that is focused on student learning and growth in academic, social, and behavioral areas. Critical areas of performance will include data analysis, knowledge of learning management systems, hiring, supervising, and evaluating professional and support staff members, facilitating and overseeing the delivery of curriculum and instruction; acting as LEA in MDE, IEP, GIEP, and 504 meetings; handling student discipline and attendance; maintaining a safe environment that is conducive to learning; assisting with leading and supervising after school events and activities. The high school assistant principal/assistant athletic director will assist with and contribute to professional development in accordance with school and district initiatives. The high school assistant principal/assistant athletic director will serve as a role model to the school community. The high school assistant principal/assistant athletic director will support the director of athletics in the administration of the district’s varsity, junior varsity, and junior high athletic programs. Key responsibilities will include scheduling of athletic contests (including officials, necessary workers, facilities transportation, etc.), budgeting, coach supervision and evaluation, coach hiring, athletic inventory management, student-athlete eligibility, collaboration with booster club leadership, athletic event leadership/attendance/supervision, provide support for Title IX compliance, and perform any other duties as assigned by the high school principal and the director of athletics.
