Springfield Upstart Athletics is a sports development company in Springfield, MO. Our soccer programs are designed to meet your players' needs at every age and level. We train like coaches and think like educators to develop their skills on and off the field.

SGF Upstart Athletics seeks dedicated, caring, and fun individuals to join our soccer coaching staff for our upcoming Spring League. All Upstart Athletic coaches receive training and access to our lesson plan and curriculum library.

We are specifically seeking coaches for our two younger programs - Feet First Soccer and Step Up Soccer Academy. Feet First coaches teach our unique philosophy of coaching soccer to preschool-aged kids. Step Up Soccer Academy players focus on individual skill development. Our curriculum is silly, exciting, engaging, creative, and the best way to teach young players soccer.

Have soccer experience but need help with coaching? Or experience teaching young kids but need to gain experience with coaching soccer? We can train both. The ideal coach should balance professionalism and the ability to be loving and silly. Please read below for the program for which we are hiring.

Feet First and Step Up Soccer Academy League coaches instruct teams of 6-8 kids, ages 2.5 - 7 years old. Availability for the SPRING league (March 25th - May 11th) is requested. Possible extension of dates for weather-related makeup days. Tentative days/times are listed below:

Mondays 5-7:30 pm, Tuesdays 5-7:30 pm, Thursdays 5:30-6:30 pm, and Saturdays 8:30 am - noon.

League coaches COMMIT to days they are available and assigned to teams for the entirety of the season and will be expected at all games (with pre-approved absences). Coaching hours will be sometime between those time frames. We have soccer leagues all year round, so continuing as a coach in our program is an option for the right fit. We are committed to finding and keeping the best coaches. Training and professional development is provided. Only those dedicated to making a difference in kids' lives must apply.
