The department seeks to hire a smart, experienced, hardworking, and dependable Assistant Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide management and leadership assistance in the operation, planning, design, development, implementation, procurement and funding for technology services for K-12 public schools.
- Provide management and operation of employees, approving leave, conducting performance evaluations, workflow, training and overall staff communications.
- Develop and manages a staff training and support portfolio against all services and deliverables to ensure and align future supportability needs.
- Customer Support Manager for Microsoft Premier Support contract. Includes monthly meetings, coordination of workshops, dissemination of information to Office of Technology (OET) staff and project management for reviews/assessments.
- Develop and review correspondence to KDE agency offices, other state agencies and K-12 customers. Provide technical assistance, guidance and training to Division’s service and operations teams in the administration of policy, procedural and regulatory issues.
- Responsible for leading activities in the collection and reporting of metrics, division budget development and tracking, division procurement and strategic planning.
- Represent the Division and director as necessary. Conduct duties of Division Director in his absence or as assigned by the Division Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
