To learn more about us, please visit: savannahlakes.com About the Opportunity Savannah Lakes Village has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Director of Recreation Operations to join our Recreation Center team!  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will oversee the Recreation Center and complex. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Supervising and directing the effective and efficient operation of the Recreation Center and related recreational and social programs, assuring a high standard of appearance, graciousness, and service. Supervising the overall maintenance and housekeeping of the recreation center facility and surrounding areas to include swimming facilities, tennis/pickleball courts, bocce courts, bowling alley operation and pavilion.  Oversees all maintenance programs to include preventative maintenance. Providing leadership for the initiating, planning, development, execution and evaluation of the various recreation and social events, activities and programs at the Recreation Center that will enhance the recreation-social program and increase Member participation.  These programs should build enthusiasm within the membership for recreation-social participation. Supervising the operation of the Recreation Center and related facilities assuring they are open at reasonable hours as determined by the Chief Operating Officer and scheduling adequate staff as reasonably required to provide effective and efficient service within budget limitations. Developing promotional activities and working with the Director of Marketing/IS to implement an effective marketing program for the total recreation-social program, facilities and services, including the use by Members and their guests and to outside groups and individuals within guidelines established by the Board. Developing working relationships with outside entities, such as hospitals, to promote their use of SLVPOA facilities for the benefit of Members. Hiring, training, and supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety and health programs About You To qualify, you should have sufficient educational background, normally a Bachelor’s in recreation management, fitness program management or related fields, and/or actual experience to administer the entire recreation-social and maintenance programs with a minimum of three years current and actual experience in a similar or related position. You maintain a strong work ethic and can create a motivating work environment through daily training. You’re knowledgeable in the introduction, application and follow through of training programs for all levels of staff with proper documentation. You possess leadership abilities and can manage teams effectively. You excel at business management, human resources management and financial controls. You have excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
