Assistant Campus Recreation Director administers and promotes all non-varsity, club (intramural) sports and wellness program. Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Summary: Serve as an assistant to the Director of Recreation for the school/public being served in the local community recreation programs. This position performs a variety of general administrative duties, as well as a variety of supervision and field maintenance duties. Must be able to work evenings and weekends depending on the sport season. Demonstrate knowledge of youth sports and activities, posses’ excellent organizational people skills.
