The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.   • Duties

    • Works under the administrative and technical supervision of the Recreation Specialist (Program Manager)
    • Tasks or projects are performed with a minimum of supervision, and incumbent independently performs regular and recurring work.
    • Assist in the planning/establishing of objectives and goals for the facility.
    • Helps plan, conduct, publicize, and arrange support for a variety of sponsored special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
    • Serves as shift manager during absence of Recreation Specialist (Program Manager).

    Qualifications

    Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed:

    One (1) year work experience leading a staff of employees in support of outdoor recreational activities such as assisting with planning sponsored events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.

    OR

    Successful completion of a four (4)-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours in courses related to recreation of physical education.

    PCS Costs

    Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
    • This is a pay-banded position.
    • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
    • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
    Incentives and Bonuses
    • Incentives will not be paid.
    Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
    • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
