Assistant Campus Recreation Director administers and promotes all non-varsity, club (intramural) sports and wellness program. Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Job SummaryFacility Assistants are responsible for providing UK Students and the UK Community with quality customer service while providing information, controlling access, checking out equipment, and monitoring the fitness areas. Facility staff maintain a safe environment by actively supervising activities and enforcing facility policies. Staff are trained to respond to emergencies according to the outlined Emergency Action Plans. Facility assistants help to maintain a clean facility by completing routine cleaning, performing laundry duties, and completing other chores as assigned.

Preferred Education/ExperienceFacility Assistants will serve as a first responder. CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are required for Facility Assistants. Free certification classes will be available to all new employees who are not currently certified. Student employees are expected to maintain a current certification throughout their employment.
