Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Position Summary:
The Recreation Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and supervision of the full scope of the facility’s recreation services. This includes providing an ongoing, inclusive program that uses purposeful activities in order to improve and maintain the quality of life for residents. The recreational programs are designed to meet the physical, cognitive, social, spiritual and emotional interests, and needs of every resident as per the current federal and state guidelines and regulations. The Recreation Director is responsible for hiring and supervising all Recreation staff/ volunteers and ensuring that they are trained appropriately to provide clinical, quality recreational services.
