Overview

The Director of Campus Ministry oversees the Campus Ministry Office and supports the Catholic Culture of the school by preparing opportunities for prayer, liturgy, sacraments, and retreats in fulfillment of the school's mission. The Director of Campus Ministry cultivates the profile of the Campus Ministry Team members as faith leaders in the School who, in addition to their specific areas of responsibility, share in responsibility for strengthening the four pillars of Word and Worship, Retreats, Student and Faculty Formation, and Service.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning of school liturgies and prayer services.
• Communicate with clergy regarding services at Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School
• Works collaboratively with the Campus Ministry Team, Chaplain, and Administration on developing the prayer and worship of the school.
• Is responsible for the structure, content, and evaluation of retreats at each grade level. Coordinates an ongoing review of the efficacy of existing retreat models for freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years.
• Oversee staffing and training of retreat teams, purchasing, contracts with venues/services and calendar coordination following all school procedures.
• Provide pastoral support as requested by students, faculty, and staff.
• Collaborate with guidance and other departments regarding specific pastoral needs/ concerns of students.
• Works with the Director of Student Life on existing mission- centered events throughout the school year, including Catholic Schools Week.
• Oversees the activities of the Faculty Faith Formation Committee, including the planning, execution, and evaluation of Faculty and Staff Retreats
• Cultivates the profile of the Campus Ministry Team members as faith leaders in the school who, in addition to their specific areas of responsibility, share in responsibility for strengthening the four pillars of Word and Worship, Retreats, Student and Faculty Formation, and Service.
• Organizes events and programs which build up the Catholic community in our school and unite our school more closely with the Cardinal Mooney community at large.
• Provides opportunities for students to lead various activities to be prepared for vocation and leadership roles.
• Maintains awareness of regional and national trends in high school campus ministry and encourages the participation in continuing professional development of all members of the Campus Ministry team.
• Performs any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned by the principal or designee.

• Bachelors degree in related field (Masters degree preferred)
• Practicing Catholic with an active sacramental and faith life and in good standing with the Church
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency with computer network systems and software programs
• Undergoing a FDLE Level 2 background check
