Assistant Campus Recreation Director jobs in Savannah, GA
Assistant Campus Recreation Director administers and promotes all non-varsity, club (intramural) sports and wellness program. Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Resort is looking for a Recreation Assistant. The Recreation Assistant's primary duties are to develop, plan and coordinate events, activities, and outings for guests of the Resort.
Specifically, the Recreation Assistant will:
- Coordinate activities and events as well as any support needed during the activities and events.
- Ensure required materials are available and prepared for events or activities.
- Responsible for set-up and clean-up of each activity.
The ideal candidate would possess the following traits:
- Great verbal communication skills
- Understanding of event planning and techniques.
- Ability to follow direction.
Hours of work are variable and can included mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
