Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Summer Camp Seasonal Positions – Enfield Recreation
The Town of Enfield, Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the following position:
Tons-O-Fun Summer Camp:
Camp Director: Responsible for the administration of a comprehensive full-day summer camp. Directly oversees all seasonal camp staff. Works under the general direction of the Asst. Recreation Manager.
Responsible for planning of all camp activities including; supervising the daily operation of the camp program and staff; requisitioning equipment and materials needed for camp; scheduling work assignments; evaluating seasonal camp staff; assists in coordinating seasonal staff training; performing inspections of camp facilities; chaperoning weekly trips; completing and/or reviewing daily paperwork; maintaining payroll and equipment inventory; corresponding with participants families regarding the program; reviewing present programs and making recommendations for future programs; other duties as assigned.
Minimum age requirement: 18 years old. High school degree or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must have experience working with children. Must successfully complete Town of Enfield sponsored First Aid, CPR, Epi-Pen and Medication Administration certification programs. Experience working with children with special needs strongly desired.
