As a Recreation Assistant in our facility, you will play an integral role in helping to improve the overall well-being of our residents.
You are responsible for assisting with the provision of recreational programs that benefit the quality of life of our residents, while striving to meet their emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual needs.
Job Duties include but are not limited to :
Attending and participating in facility required in-services, as required by facility, federal and state guidelines
The ideal candidate will be able to present a pleasant demeanor at all times and share the common goal to enrich and improve the lives of our residents.
As this is a position that requires a delicate touch it is imperative that the ideal candidate display patience and enthusiasm, speak tactfully and professionally, and maintain a cheerful disposition.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is currently enrolled in a Therapeutic Recreation Program, a student of Recreation and Leisure, or Recreation Therapy.
As this is a per diem position for the fulfillment of weekend and weekday programming hours, schedules will be based on current applicant availability and the needs of the facility.
Previous nursing home experience and therapeutic recreation experience a plus, but not needed.
