Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a a Full Time Director of Therapeutic Recreation / Activities . We have a very active rehabilitation program and help many people to recover and regain independence in order to return to the community while providing daily individualized programming to our Long Term Residents. Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for directing the development, implementation, supervision and ongoing evaluation of the activities department and programming.
• Directs the Activity program including the scheduling, both individual and groups, implementing and / or delegating the implementation of the programs, monitors the response/reviews/evaluates the response to programs to determine if the activities meet the assessed needs of the resident and makes revisions accordingly.
• Ensures the contribution to the completion of the comprehensive Care Plan goals and approaches that are individualized to match the skills, abilities and interests/ preferences of each resident

Qualifications:

• Is licensed or registered in Therapeutic Recreation in NY or has at minimum 2 years' experience within a long-term care Activities Department.
• Dementia Training / Behavioral knowledge Preferred.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Care Planning, Admission processes, discharge planning, Resident Rights / Resident Choice and Federal / State Regulations required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
