Assistant Campus Recreation Director administers and promotes all non-varsity, club (intramural) sports and wellness program. Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Reports To: Assistant Directors 

    Location: Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio

    Compensation: $13.50 per hour 32 hours a week and position not eligible for benefits

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM), with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is a group of student housing professionals focused exclusively on the management of housing communities owned by non-profits and/or highly affiliated with a university.

     

    Summary:

    The Student Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Maintenance / Facilities Staff Members in completing tasks that ensure the community meets safety, appearance, and operational standards.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

     

    Painting Team Responsibilities include:

    • Appropriately prepare surfaces for painting.
    • Perform dry wall repairs and painting. 
    • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
    • Operates, cleans, and maintains all painting equipment. Including, but not limited to, brushes and rollers.
    • Power washing building exteriors as needed.
    • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean. 
    • Moving and staging of furniture.
    • Complete any assigned maintenance and custodial tasks requested by supervisor. 
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Cleaning Team Responsibilities include:

    • Cleaning of residential facilities, including, but not limited to, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces.
    • Setting up or removing bedding materials for summer conference guests.
    • Relocation of furniture.
    • Moving and staging of furniture.
    • Complete any assigned maintenance and custodial tasks requested by supervisor. 
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications: 

    • High school diploma.
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and navigate up and down stairs.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication.
    • Possess strong customer service skills.
