Position Title: Assistant Racquet Sport Professional
Salary: Exempt Full Time
Wage Range: $35,000-70,000 annually (combination of salary and commission)

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is responsible for assisting the Head Racquet Sport Professional with all aspects of the adults and junior Racquet Sport Programming to include Tennis and Pickleball. Responsibilities include assisting with the scheduling, executing, teaching drills and lessons to ensure Members receive a high level of professional services. This position comes with a salary in addition to an hourly rate for scheduled drills as well as a percentage of all individual lessons taught. Other duties include court maintenance, administrative duties, USTA League oversight, successful execution of ongoing tournaments, Member Mixers, and other duties determined by the Head Racquet Sport Professional.
Effectively and efficiently set up and execute lesson plans for privates as well as groupdrills.
Ensure that all aspects of teaching meet a specific quality standard.
Assist with the programming for adult & juniors.
Be a role model for all current and prospective juniors and adults in the tennis program.
Assist in Court Maintenance and closing of Tennis Bubble.
Must be able to lift and carry minimum of 40 lbs.
Assist the Head Racquet Sport Professional with promoting and managing a seamlessline of communication between all staff and members.
Communicate professionally with all Members and Guests as well as employees.
Ensure courts are clean, neat and well cared for.
Assist with filling up the water daily with fresh icy water during spring, summer and fall to include cups are readily available.
Assist with trash removal from courts, pick up debris on courts.
Perform daily walk through’s of all courts and surrounding areas to ensure the highest standard of facilities and well maintained areas.
Work with our engineering team and place necessary work orders for anything that needs attention.
Ensure a high level of professionalism, enthusiasm and creativity for the program.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly charging through POS system on time inaccordance with accounting deadlines.
Be an advocate to both Tennis and Pickleball at The Flying Horse Resort and Club by being present and approachable for all players.
Other duties as assigned by Head Racquet Sport Professional.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have minimum of two years of Certified Teaching experience with both Tennis and Pickleball. Must be USPTA/USPTR/PPA or certified within 6 months of hire. Must have ability to use Excel and Microsoft Word programs, use of photocopying and fax equipment.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Must be detail oriented, accurate and possess good organizational abilities and be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Self-Motivation is essential.
Will have contact with all Departments and other industry related people and is to conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing and operational success of the company.
