Job Overview:

Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and established standards
- Decorate pastries and cakes using various techniques, including piping, glazing, and icing
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all pastry items meet our high standards
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with other members of the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen or bakery
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking methods, and cake decorating
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of pastry orders
- Creativity and artistic ability to create visually appealing pastries and cakes

Skills:
- Culinary skills with a focus on pastry preparation
- Proficient in various baking techniques such as mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, and decorating
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while also demonstrating creativity in pastry design
