This is a hands-on position in which you will work with the Chefs de Cuisine and the Provisions Retail Manager on a daily basis to create a vibrant, friendly, and creative environment. You must have a passion for high-quality food. Previous experience strongly preferred but will train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Assist Chef de Cuisines in planning and executing catering events of various sizes
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations during events
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and high-quality menu offerings for the Provisions retail store
- Manage food preparation, presentation, and delivery to meet client expectations
- Oversee inventory control and ordering supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a high standard of performance
Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Creative and adaptable to diverse culinary preferences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Able to lift 50 lbs and spend 8 hours walking and standing in a kitchen environment
Compensation
Compensation commensurate with experience.
