Assistant Pastry Chef assists with the production and presentation of pastries and baked goods. Follows recipes and designated procedures to create unique pastries and baked goods. Being an Assistant Pastry Chef follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Maintains a clean and orderly workstation and kitchen equipment. Additionally, Assistant Pastry Chef typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Assistant Pastry Chef works under moderate supervision. We are seeking an experienced cook to join our team and help us expand. Bucherbobs BBQ is an up and coming small business. We are currently located at 12 S Mountain Blvd. (309)
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, ambitious and reliable.
You must have a basic understanding of proper meat preparation.Ability to follow recipes and adjust for requests and allergies.
Responsibilities.Prepare the kitchen for service, understand menu demand and prep accordingly without instruction.
Prepare meals to standard in a clean and orderly fashion.
Keep cook station organized and stocked for the next shift.
Physical requirements, walking, squatting, bending and lifting.
We wood smoke all of our meats so we maintain a smoker morning to night. Every half hour you are required to walk to the smoker and maintain the fire and adjust vents for proper temperature depending on the product we are smoking.
Qualifications.- Cooking experience or back of the house experience strongly preferred
- Ability to meet all scheduling commitments.
- Ability to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail is a must as we strive for consistency.
We are looking for a strong leader to join our team, you must be able to make decisions on the fly and communicate and motivate staff.
Interview will include a test of basic vegetable prep, we look forward to meeting you!Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Wednesdays. Compensation is $12.00 - $19.00/hour.
