Assistant Principal Openings (2 Positions)

Job Overview:

The Athens Area School District is actively seeking two (2) dynamic, collaborative, and empathetic leaders to fill the positions of Assistant Principal. These 220-day, ACT 93 positions require the ability to meet the criteria for a K-12 Principal certification in Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and assistance in managing student behavior and promoting a positive school culture.
• Work closely with the principal, teachers, staff, and parents to establish a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment.
• Implement and supervise effective discipline policies and procedures.
• Build robust relationships with students, families, and the community.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Education or Educational Leadership (Preferred).
• Eligibility to receive K-12 Principal certification in PDE.
• Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience working creatively and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Managing student behavior.
• Proficient in data analysis and adopting data to help guide decision making.
