MIDDLE SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - 11 Months
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Valid N.Y.S. teaching certificate
- Valid N.Y.S. School Building Leader Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years successful teaching and/or administrative experience
- Administrative or teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Background in the implementation of instructional technology, curriculum mapping, and professional development.
- Background in integration of MTSS systems to inform instructional practices.
- Knowledge of special education processes and programming
- Evidence of strong instructional leadership and team building skills
- Experience, knowledge, and background related to N.Y.S. learning, standards and assessments
- Evidence of strong communication skills and positive interpersonal relationships with parents, staff, and students
- Evidence of strong speaking and writing skills
- Knowledgeable about the lives of secondary school students and a strong advocate for their success
- High energy and considerable personal and professional integrity
- Able to perform as a visible and effective leader in both long-range planning and daily operations of the school and district.
