Activities Assistant (Activity Aide) Responsibilities

The Activities Assistant is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Activity Director in the assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing of activity/recreational services to address the individualized needs and interests of the residents.

Activities Assistant (Activity Aide) Requirements

• Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on State Registry as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
• Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a skilled nursing facility preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.
• Activities Certification preferred.
• One year of experience working in long term care preferred.
• One year of experience conducting social/recreational programs within the past five years preferred.
