    Job Description

    The Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is seeking an individual to work in public service as a Student Assistant in the Office of Insurance Rates and Forms. This is an opportunity to build a lifelong career doing work that truly matters - helping to protect consumers and maintain public confidence in Michigan’s insurance industry.

    The right candidate will serve as a general student assistant to the Office of Insurance Rates and Forms, assisting with routine office tasks such as copying, filing, and general correspondence. This position performs data entry, completes fundamental quality assurance related to established office processes, and runs basic reports.

    Ideal candidates will be those currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution with:

    Work Location: This is an in-person position based in Lansing, Michigan. Students may work up to 29 hours a week with a maximum of 129 hours in a month.
