Duties:
- Assist in planning and coordinating daily activities for residents, including recreational programs, social events, and outings
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Collaborate with the care team to develop individualized care plans for residents
- Support residents with memory care needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages social interaction and participation
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of aging issues and familiarity with dementia care techniques
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Compassionate nature and genuine interest in working with seniors
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Degree or certification in recreational therapy, social work, or related field is a plus
