Assoc. Professor - Accounting jobs in Saint Cloud, MN

Our client in the west metro is adding a Controller to their growing team. This role will be responsible for both the day to day accounting work as well as management of the small yet growing team. The ideal candidate would have International accounting exposure, prior management experience, strong verbal/written communication skills, and a flexibility to travel internationally during training.

This role offers hybrid flexibility 2x/week after training, strong benefits with discretionary profit sharing, 401(k) match, and great company culture. $100-$130k pay range. Direct Hire.

Job Duties:

• Oversight of all financial and management accounting functions in the subsidiary.
• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Determines creditworthiness of client accounts, approving, monitoring or declining credit as required.
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Developing financial reporting and analysis.
• Providing financial support and analyses for department leaders.
• Oversee the monthly closing process.
• Manage the business accounting team including general accounting, AP, and AR.
• Preparing forecasts and annual budgets.
• Establishing controls in compliance with all GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Help drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3 years of experience from a similar position on Manager level, preferably in an international organization.
• Prior management experience required.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
• Experience from training, developing, and evaluating employees.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SOX.
