Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Architecture provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Architecture typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. The Architecture Teacher is responsible for educating and supporting students to help them reach learning targets. The Architecture Teacher must be a content area expert who makes sound instructional decisions, creates and maintains a learning environment where positive relationships are built and routines and procedures are in place to create collective responsibility. Architecture Teachers are responsible for providing rich learning tasks for intellectual engagement, assessing formatively and summatively, and providing feedback to students for their academic achievement. |
