Assoc. Professor - Business Administration teaches courses in the discipline area of business administration and management. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Business Administration provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Business Administration typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Assistant / Associate Professor of Educational Administration

    Position Summary:
    The College of Education and Technology is seeking qualified candidates to teach as a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Educational Administration. The position provides the opportunity to teach educational administrative classes using distance education technologies, mentorships with students in the educational administration program, and to build relationships with local school districts. Salary based on experience. This is a residential appointment and campus presence is required.

    Requirements

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Teach graduate courses in educational administration (personnel, leadership, school/community relations, school law, school finance)
    • Develop and deliver online courses
    • Teach educational foundations courses as needed by department
    • Engage in an active research and publication agenda, including grant writing;
    • Advise graduate students
    • Service to the department, college, university, New Mexico public schools, NM Public Education Department and professional organizations within the field of educational administration.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Job Requirements
    A doctorate (ABD considered) in Educational Administration or related field (with focus on P-12 schools) and a minimum of three years of experience as a public-school principal, superintendent or other P-12 administrator.     • Commitment to collaboration and working as part of a team to visualize, plan, deliver, assess and redirect programs as needed to serve stakeholders;
    • Willingness to travel to teach cohort groups on-site at a distance;
    • Experience in (or willingness to learn) teaching online;
    • Experience in (or willingness to learn) advanced online technologies to enhance online teaching;
    • Evidence of ability to build and maintain strong relationships with k12 partners;
    • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
    Working Conditions

    Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

    • Work during normal work hours and may include weekend and evening hours
    • Word is sedentary in nature with 10 pounds of maximum weight to life and carry
    • Work requires reaching, handling of objects with hands and/or finders, talking, and/or hearing, and seeing
