  • The HR Generalist is the go-to person for all things payroll, benefits, and leaves of absence. The HR Generalist is also a well-rounded HR professional who can support other HR functions, programs and initiatives including wellness, employee recognition, employee file management and other special projects. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work autonomously, has meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills and can think through problems critically. This is a highly visible role within the company that will work with multiple departments and levels of the organization. The ability to keep information confidential, while also providing first class customer service to all levels of the organization, is critical.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Process full-cycle, multi-state, bi-weekly payroll using UKG UltiPro for all US employees
    • Manage all leaves of absence, including FMLA and disability
    • Ensure compliance with Federal and state taxing authorities, responding to all requests timely and efficiently
    • Advise on, implement, and maintain payroll, benefit and LOA best practices to improve and maintain both efficiency and accuracy
    • Meets with all new employees to explain our IAPP benefits, payroll and timekeeping practices
    • Assists HR Operations Manager with open enrollment, including planning of open enrollment events
    • Maintains all employee information within the HRIS as well as employee files
    • Responsible for annual reporting such as EEO-1, annual non-discrimination testing for benefit plans, annual worker’s compensation audit, as well as other special and ad hoc reports as requested

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
    • 3-5 years’ experience processing multi-state payroll using a third-party vendor, knowledge of UKG UltiPro is highly desirable
    • 2-3 years’ experience administering benefit plans, including deferred compensation plans
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong understanding of state and federal employment laws
    • Experience comprehending and implementing general HR policies and procedures
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Operates with discretion around employee matters
    • Ability to work with a team as well as independently
    • Prioritization and appropriate sense of urgency
