Assoc. Professor - Chemical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of chemical engineering. Professor - Chemical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Chemical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Responsibilities
Support specifications and standards in areas such as compound, component, curing process, or uniformity analyses
Apply a systematic approach to identify and isolate problems and their root causes to design and implement effective solutions
Statistical analysis and data collection through software such as Minitab
Determine methods and technology to convert inputs into acceptable outputs with process capability
Learn and utilize key chemical manufacturing tools and systems; recommending improvements where needed
Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with fellow teammates and achieve common goals
Work in a hands-on environment with cross functional teams, at least 50% on floor
Utilize project management skills to develop, manage, and control scope, schedule and cost

We are looking for students who are:

Minimum Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you need…
To be pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or another applicable major and actively enrolled in an accredited university the semester prior to your start date
To be junior-senior level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
Completed course work in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD
To be available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6-month minimum co-op assignment
No other work experience is required. We will teach you everything you need to know!
