Assoc. Professor - Chemistry teaches courses in the discipline area of chemistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Chemistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Chemistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Position Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist and Medical Laboratory Technician departmental team lead provides professional clinical laboratory science services, including performance of clinical laboratory examinations, proficiency testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management, and other functions toward the attainment of these goals. This position oversees the work of non-independent practitioners (technicians, Lab Assistants, phlebotomists) and trainees.
The laboratory department team lead is responsible for ensuring the departments day to day responsibilities are meet in accordance to the manufacturer’s recommendations, Joint Commissions requirements, and CLIA/CMS requirements.
Position is 40 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT1. Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related science required.2. Associate of Science degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science required.3. State licensure as Clinical Laboratory Scientist—Generalist required.4.
