Description

Our office located in West Des Moines, IA is looking for a Civil Design Engineer. We are looking for a dedicated engineer with the ability to provide efficient and detailed work. This person will be utilized on projects related to commercial and residential site design, grading, drainage and erosion control, athletic facility improvements, and many other civil-related projects. This position will be responsible for the development of project designs and construction documents by utilizing the most current version of AutoCAD. This position will also be responsible for coordinating site inspections and observations during the construction season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• 0 - 2 years of civil-site design experience. At a minimum, previous internship within a civil engineering firm is required.
• Excellent personal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and strong attention to detail.
• EIT certification or the ability to quickly obtain certification.
• Prior experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is preferred.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
• Prior experience with construction observation and utilizing various surveying equipment is a plus.
