    Sunrise Engineering is currently initiating a search for a Civil Engineer to support our growing organization. This Full Time position is based in our Fort Collins, CO office during our business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

     

    A Day in the Life of a Civil Engineer

    As a Civil Engineer at Sunrise Engineering in Fort Collins, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects. In the afternoon, you meet with clients, acting as their advocate and building strong relationships. As a mentor, you guide and nurture the growth of EITs and designers. 

    Your day-to-day activities may include:

    • Leading and managing civil engineering projects, which encompass water, sewer, drainage, and grading elements.
    • Utilizing AutoCAD and Land Desktop software to prepare original drawings and revisions for civil engineering projects.
    •  Conducting engineering studies, acquiring funding, and navigating the permitting process for successful project implementation.
    • Acting as a client advocate, ensuring client satisfaction and building lasting relationships.
    • Fostering a positive work environment, mentoring team members, and promoting a culture of Safety, Balance, and Fun.

    • A bachelor’s degree in engineering coupled with a valid P.E. License.

    • Adaptable and open to working both in the office and on various project locations, embracing diverse challenges and environments.
