Professor - Civil Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Civil Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficient AutoCAD Designer and have recent experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Prepare civil & structural AutoCAD drawings – and in the utilization of AutoCAD Plant 3-D Modeling - in support of heavy industrial process plant projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proven work experience in industrial sector
- Excellent technical skills
- CAD or AutoCad skills
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes/practices for design, construction and safety
- Working with the engineer, develop key deliverables and drawings including foundation drawings & details, underground pipe details, steel drawings & details, connection details, etc.
- Ability to respond and interact with Client and Constructor Contractors with RFIs
- Ability to work well in teams and to be enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Ability to be adaptable, to work independently and to accept challenges
- A strong drive to deliver against schedule, budget and quality commitments
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated collaborative work experience working with multi-discipline teams.
Additional Skills required for Designer II and Senior Designer I & II
- Ability to optimize design, educate engineer(s) on best approach
- Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks by frequency and importance
