Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Are you looking for new ways to enhance the learning experience for students? Do you enjoy helping others reach their full potential? If so, then KVCC may have the ideal job opportunity for you.

    This position provides Computer Information Science (CIS) tutoring services to students both one-on-one and in small group settings. Hours may include days or evenings.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Must possess a minimum 3.0 GPA in the area of expertise or have written recommendation from instructor or department chairperson.

    Need to be proficient in a variety of KVCC CIS classes.

    Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
    Previous experience working with students.

    Physical Demands:

    Work Hours:
    10 - 20 hours per week; flexible schedule, hours will vary between days and evenings.
