New London Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Science Teacher to join our team of educators. As a reputable institution committed to providing quality education, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of science. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring that our students meet or exceed the Ohio Content Standards for middle school science.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the Ohio Content Standards for Middle School Science.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.

• Foster a love for science by incorporating hands-on experiments, projects, and real-world applications into the curriculum.

• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular connections and promote a cohesive educational experience for students.

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest educational trends and teaching methodologies.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to establish a collaborative and supportive learning community.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio teaching license with appropriate endorsements for middle school science.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field;

• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Ohio Content Standards for Middle School Science.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and respectful learning environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passion for fostering students' curiosity and critical thinking skills through hands-on and inquiry-based learning.
