Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the Ohio Content Standards for Middle School Science.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
Foster a love for science by incorporating hands-on experiments, projects, and real-world applications into the curriculum.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular connections and promote a cohesive educational experience for students.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest educational trends and teaching methodologies.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to establish a collaborative and supportive learning community.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license with appropriate endorsements for middle school science.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field;
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Ohio Content Standards for Middle School Science.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and respectful learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for fostering students' curiosity and critical thinking skills through hands-on and inquiry-based learning.
