Assoc. Professor - Dentistry teaches courses in the discipline area of dentistry. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Responsibilities:

    • Apply nursing professional practice by assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients' care.
    • Advocate for ethical and holistic care, respecting patients' autonomy, dignity, and beliefs.
    • Facilitate a learning environment for patients, families, and healthcare teams, fostering ongoing professional development.
    • Ensure safety and quality alignment by integrating evidence-based practices into nursing care and identifying safety issues.
    • Engage in ongoing professional development and promote evidence-based practice.
    • Lead and coordinate inter-professional care teams, delegating tasks effectively, and modeling professional behaviors.

    Required Skills:

    • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
    • Washington Registered Nurse License.
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
    • National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification.
    • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.

    Preferred Skills:

    • National Certification in area of specialty.
    • Critical Care and Stepdown Experience.
