Assoc. Professor - Drama teaches courses in the discipline area of drama. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Drama provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Summary:
The School District of Borough of Morrisville is seeking a candidate to fill a Drama Director Extracurricular position for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is not associated with a Professional Teaching position.
Experience/Skills:- Previous experience would be beneficial.
- Applicant must be innovative, progressive and capable of working collaboratively with students of all ages, faculty, parents, and administrators.
Clearances and other requirements:
If you are an external candidate and you are offered a position with the School District of Borough of Morrisville, please be advised that the following clearances will be required before you are able to begin working:
- PA State Police Clearance (Act 33)
- Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo
Background employment clearances and the following additional paperwok must be completed within the last year to be valid: Arrest/Conviction Report (Act 24), PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), and School Health Record which includes physical (within a year) and TB test (within 3 months).
Salary:Per terms of Collective Bargaining Agreement between Morrisville Board of School Directors and Morrisville Education Association.
