    Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

            

    Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.


    • Welcomes customers to the outlet in a friendly, courteous manner.
    • Becomes familiar with all outlet items and inventory, and provides assistance and information to customers.
    • Operates the cash register, to accept payment for retail sales, in the form of cash, credit, and complimentaries, making correct change as required and balancing cash register, at closing or end of shift.
    • Maintains a neat, clean and completely stocked work area.
    • Ensures proper inventory control, by maintaining accurate records of merchandise sold and stock on hand.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of facilities and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible.
    • Communicates important, relevant information to following shift.
    • Assists in creating and setting up displays of merchandise.
    • Works to achieve and maintain a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction.
    • Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
    • Inspects merchandise, to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed.
    • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

    AGE and GAMING:

    21 years of age or above.

    Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    High School diploma or GED is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of previous retail or cashier experience is required.

    TESTING:

    Must score at least 85% or better on a Basic Math test. Must take the required testing identified for this position.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees and one on one.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

     

    Essential responsibilities include lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and standing/walking 100% of the shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift.

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

     

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

    Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
