Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Electrical Engineering Co-Op located in our Hollis, NH site. Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, the student will learn effective brainstorming, design for manufacturing, prototyping, and documentation as they apply their engineering knowledge to real world problems. Our expertise includes User Research, Human Factors Engineering, User Interface Design, Industrial Design, Systems Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software), Usability Testing, Pilot Production Support, and Regulatory Compliance. Farm is located one hour north of Boston, our unique facilities consist of a development center featuring design, development, assembly, and test facilities and a business center located in a restored circa-1740 colonial. What a typical day looks like:  Work on a variety of products ranging from home health wearables to next generation therapy systems to surgical robotics.  Collaborate with industrial design, user interface, human factors, software, and mechanical teams to help produce successful product designs. Participate in multidisciplinary brainstorming sessions, conceptualize, investigate, and develop innovative product architectures, parts, mechanisms, and assemblies. Create and support design solutions using CAD, analysis software, and lab equipment. Procure, assemble, and test breadboards and prototypes to inform and refine designs as well as measure and demonstrate design performance. Communicate design value, tradeoffs, and recommendations to internal teams and clients. Develop a personal portfolio of work that is accomplished during the Co-Op assignment. Student qualities we’re seeking for this Co-Op assignment: Junior or Senior undergrad student pursuing Electrical/ & Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology or related major Hands-on electromechanical skills – wiring, soldering, troubleshooting Fundamental understanding of electronics and physics, basic circuit design skills, ability to read and understand a schematic, electrical build experience, ability to carry out laboratory experiments, document and communicate results. Highly collaborative team attitude, passion to learn, contribute, and take on challenges Previous co-op or internship experience highly preferred Basic programming skills and ability to create a schematic and simple PCB layouts - a plus! Co-Op Program Requirements: Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for the assignment term (Jul-Dec 2024) Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university 3.0 minimum GPA Job Category Intern Is Sponsorship Available?
