Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Department of Mechanical Engineering at Western New England University seeks
applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor Position,
beginning in Fall 2024. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with expertise in Aerodynamics,
Propulsion, Turbomachinery, Flight Mechanics, Flight Vehicle Design, or other
related Aerospace fields. Industry experience in the practical application of
this expertise is a plus. The successful candidate is expected to teach
undergraduate and graduate level courses in Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering, pursue scholarly and funded research activities, and support both
graduate and undergraduate student projects.
Western New England University offers a vibrant undergraduate mechanical engineering program that emphasizes industrially relevant research and design. An aerospace concentration is currently being added to this program, leading to this open position. Additionally, the ME department hosts an active Master of Science program and a PhD program. The program prides itself on delivering high-quality engineering education while providing strong mentorship to students.
